World Water Council (WWC) Youth Delegate Program 2026–2028

by | Nov 10, 2025

The World Water Council (WWC) is calling for applications for its Youth Delegate Program for the 2026–2028 cohort. This initiative is designed to empower passionate young leaders by giving them a significant voice in shaping the global water agenda. The program provides a platform for youth to engage in international policy discussions, contribute to sustainable water governance, and ensure their perspectives are integrated into decision-making processes.

A key focus for this cohort will be their active involvement in the preparatory process and proceedings of the 11th World Water Forum, which is the world’s largest water-related event and will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in 2027. Delegates will collaborate with the WWC Young Mission on youth-led campaigns, engage with regional youth networks, and contribute to the Council’s overall mission of making water a global political priority.

Financial Benefits

While the Youth Delegate position is a voluntary (unpaid) role, the program is fully funded in terms of participation costs.

  • Fully Covered Travel: All travel expenses for official World Water Council events and meetings will be covered for the selected delegates.
  • Global Networking: The program offers unparalleled opportunities to connect with high-level policymakers, international experts, and youth advocates from around the world.
  • Professional Development: Delegates will gain hands-on experience in global water policy, advocacy, and leadership within an international framework.
  • High-Level Access: Participants will get exposure to major international events and decision-making processes, including the 11th World Water Forum.
