V Dolors Alberola Poetry Prize 2026

The V Dolors Alberola Poetry Prize 2026 is an international poetry award that welcomes entries from poets across the globe. It honors the art of poetry and encourages cultural and linguistic diversity in literature. The competition accepts works in any official language and on any theme or subject, allowing poets complete creative freedom to express their ideas in any style or form. The prize is designed to provide a platform for unpublished poets to reach a global audience and have their works professionally published. It is open to writers from all nationalities, with no restrictions on age or country of origin.

Financial Benefits

  • For the Winner:
    • Publication of the poetry collection as a bilingual edition (in the original language and translated into another European language).
    • Receipt of 50 copies of the published book.
    • Royalties from both the publisher’s edition and subsidiary rights.
  • For the Finalists:
    • Publication of their poetry collections in a Spanish edition.
    • Receipt of 10 copies of their book.
    • Royalties from the published edition.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The competition accepts works in any official language.
  • It is open to writers from all nationalities, with no restrictions on age or country of origin.

Submission Guidelines and Requirements

  • Each participant may submit only one poetry collection.
  • Submitted works must be unpublished and not previously awarded in any other competition.
  • Translations or collections that have already been released to the public are not eligible.
  • Manuscripts must be typed and contain between 500 and 800 verses (lines).
  • There are no entry fees or hidden costs associated with participation.

  • Submission Deadline: February 15, 2026
  • Finalists Announcement: March 31, 2026
  • Winner Announcement: April 30, 2026
  • All deadlines are firm, and late submissions will not be accepted.
