The Dahdaleh Global Health Graduate Scholarship at York University was created to attract and support exceptional incoming and continuing domestic and international graduate students (Master’s and PhD). The program supports graduate research aligned with the three core themes of the Dahdaleh Institute for Global Health Research: planetary health, global health and humanitarianism, and global health foresighting.
Financial Benefits
- Scholarship Value: Annual scholarships for individual students range from $5,000 to $30,000 CAD, based on the availability of funds and the excellence and needs of applicants.
- Additional Support: Scholarship recipients gain access to collaborative workspaces, support for conference travel to disseminate research, and invitations to exclusive institute events and workshops.
Eligibility Criteria
- Enrollment: Applicants must be incoming or continuing graduate students (Master’s or Doctoral) at York University.
- Nationality: The scholarship is open to both domestic and international students.
- Academic Standing: Applicants must demonstrate outstanding academic achievement and promise of excellence in global health research.
- Research Alignment: The proposed research must align with one of the Dahdaleh Institute’s three thematic areas.
- Supervisor Requirement: The applicant’s primary graduate research supervisor must be a Faculty Fellow at the Dahdaleh Institute, York University.
Application Process
The application is evaluated based on academic excellence, research potential, the excellence of the proposed research, and demonstrated innovation, leadership, and initiative.
