The Trinity Fellows Program at Marquette University is a 21-month graduate fellowship dedicated to developing leaders for social and economic justice. The program integrates academic study with a professional work placement at a Milwaukee-area nonprofit organization. Fellows earn a master’s degree from one of sixteen participating programs while gaining significant, substantive work experience and addressing critical urban issues.
Program Benefits
- Full Tuition Scholarship: The fellowship provides a full-tuition scholarship for 21 months of graduate coursework.
- Monthly Stipend: Fellows receive a monthly stipend to cover living expenses throughout the program.
- Professional Work Experience: Each fellow is placed in a nonprofit agency for 18 hours per week, working on projects that align with their skills and the organization’s needs.
- Master’s Degree: Fellows earn a master’s degree in one of the approved fields of study.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Academic Background: Must have a bachelor’s degree and meet the admission requirements for one of the eligible graduate programs at Marquette University.
- Professional Experience: A background in volunteer or professional service is highly valued.
- Commitment: A demonstrated commitment to social and economic justice.
- Application: Must complete separate applications for both the Trinity Fellows Program and their chosen graduate program at Marquette.

- Application Deadline: January 15, 2026.
- Dual Application: Applicants must submit two separate applications:
- The application for the Trinity Fellows Program.
- The application to the Marquette University Graduate School for their chosen master’s degree program.
- Selection: The selection process is competitive and includes a review of both applications, followed by interviews for finalist candidates.
