The Africa Impact Fundraising Grant (AIFG) Program is a new initiative by The New Africa Fund, designed to empower African NGOs, community-based organizations, and social enterprises. It aims to address the pressing need for funding and fundraising expertise by providing training, matching funds, and fiscal sponsorship. The program begins with an online training program focused on small donor campaigns, followed by a 30-day fundraising challenge. Top-performing organizations will be invited to an intensive workshop in Kigali, Rwanda.
Financial Benefits & Program Components
- Matching Funds: Selected organizations participating in the 30-day fundraising challenge have the opportunity to secure up to $5,000 USD in matching funds.
- Foundational Training: Up to 70 organizations will receive foundational training on individual donor campaigns.
- Fiscal Sponsorship: All participating organizations will receive 12 months of free fiscal sponsorship from The New Africa Fund, with the possibility of extension.
- Intensive Workshop: Up to 10 top-performing organizations will be invited to a week-long intensive workshop in Kigali, Rwanda, to deepen their fundraising expertise, covering financial management, marketing, communications, grant writing, donor research, cultivation and retention, individual donor campaigns, and local fundraising strategies.
- Additional Opportunities: Performance-based fundraising opportunities will be provided as the program develops.
Eligibility Criteria
- Organization Type: The program is open to African NGOs, community-based organizations, and social enterprises.
- Registration: Only organizations registered in one of the 55 African Union member states are eligible to apply.
