The Irregular Warfare Initiative (IWI) 2026 Nonresident Fellows Program is a highly selective fellowship for professionals, academics, and military leaders. As a fellow, you will contribute to the public discourse on irregular warfare, participate in community events, and engage with a network of experts.

Program Details:

  • Host Organization: The Irregular Warfare Initiative (IWI), a collaboration between the Modern War Institute at West Point and Princeton University’s Empirical Studies of Conflict Project.
  • Commitments: Author or co-author at least one article for IWI and participate in bimonthly virtual engagements with senior members of the irregular warfare community.

Eligibility:

  • Profile: Professionals, academics, and military leaders with a dedication to advancing the study and practice of irregular warfare. Applicants with diverse backgrounds are encouraged.
