SDG Innovation Accelerator for Young Professionals 2026

by | Dec 23, 2025

The UN Global Compact designed this nine-month program specifically for young talent. Consequently, it empowers future leaders to develop innovative solutions that solve real business challenges. Furthermore, these solutions directly contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Program Overview

This accelerator is not a typical scholarship. Instead, it is an “intrapreneurship” program. This means you remain in your current job while you participate. Therefore, you apply the skills you learn directly to your company’s operations.

Key Benefits

Participants gain significant professional advantages. Specifically, the program offers:

  • Innovation Labs: You will attend workshops that teach you how to create sustainable business solutions.
  • Mentorship: Experts and senior leaders will guide you throughout the process.
  • Global Networking: You will connect with other young professionals from top companies around the world.
  • Visibility: You will showcase your work on a global stage, potentially at UN General Assembly side events.

Who Can Join?

Eligibility for this program is strict regarding your employment. Crucially, you cannot apply as an independent freelancer.

  • Employment: You must work for a company that participates in the UN Global Compact.
  • Age Limit: You must be 35 years or younger at the time of application.
  • Commitment: You need to dedicate time to the program activities alongside your regular work.

Application Details

  • Deadline: January 30, 2026.
  • Process: Your company must nominate you, or you must apply with their explicit endorsement.
  • Platform: Applications go through the UN Global Compact’s digital platform.
